Ziad Aly is a StreetDance Educator, Choreographer, and Visual Storyteller originally from Egypt, recognized as one of the key pioneers of street dance in the Egyptian dance community. His work has always been rooted in building culture, not just performing within it.
As the founder of Swaggers Crew, Ziad created a platform that brought together hip hop dancers and BBoys across Egypt, helping push street dance into the mainstream through events, performances, and education. He also co-founded the Egyptian Breaking Federation, contributing to the growth and structure of the scene on a national level.
Driven by a commitment to authenticity and continuous growth, Ziad has trained and traveled internationally across the United States, Europe, and Asia, learning from and connecting with some of the most respected pioneers in hip hop and street dance. His experience extends to hosting and collaborating with global leaders in the culture, bridging communities between Egypt and the international scene.
His career highlights include performing on Arabs Got Talent, choreographing for major celebrities featured in Vogue Arabia, and opening shows for Grammy Award-winning artists like Mýa and Eve. As a dance consultant for Red Bull Egypt, he played a key role in shaping major productions, while also choreographing for global brands including Nike, Intel, Samsung, and Coca-Cola.
Now based in Calgary, Canada, Ziad focuses on education and community impact—developing dancers through a foundation-first approach that emphasizes authenticity, knowledge, and individual voice. Through his teaching and visual work, he continues to create spaces where dancers are not just learning movement, but understanding culture and telling their own stories.
